Basic Requirements for applying to the Faith Mission Eaglette Program

  1. You will need to be 14 yrs old to approx. 21 yrs of age.

a)     We want to stress that the physical demands can be taxing, so those of a younger age will need to be able to able to keep up with these demands.

1)     Lift bags/boxes (from 5lbs to 50 lbs)

2)     When groups are here, be busy 8-10 hours a day

3)     Do a fair amount of walking.

  1. You need to have a personal, viable, and faithful relationship with Jesus Christ.

a)      You will be part of a team that recognizes the absolute need for seeking God, being in prayer and God’s Word, as well as being in and having the presence of God in their lives.

  1. You will need to supply your own support of $600/month,

a)     We strongly suggest that that if you want to be part of the program, that you make your stay at least for a one month period.

b)     Your support, if you are accepted, will need to be sent ahead of time when your schedule is set, or you will need to have all your support in hand when arriving at Faith Mission.

  1. You will need to supply a written recommendation by your pastor and/or youth leader.  That the recommendation will need to be specific as to the person being able to faithfully be a God seeker, a servant, able to take direction, etc…

a)     Any additional recommendations outside the church that you feel will bring added support would be great.  These could range from additional activities of involvement, community activities, any type of leadership role, any person to person activity; or even a manager or boss at a place of work.

  1. Need to have excellent listening abilities, as well as the ability to take instructions and follow them, or apply them as requested.

  2. Need to have a heart and spirit of unity with others.  We stress that as servants, we are not here for our personal agenda’s, as God is the God of our lives.  In the Spanish Bible, where Jesus says to “deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Me”, the words “deny yourself”, literally translated means “forget you.”  Again, God is faithful that as we serve, He will tend to our needs.

  3. We are looking for candidates who simply desire to serve, support, encourage, and bless others who are coming to Faith Mission, no matter who that is.

  4. You must apply yourself in the best way possible to learn the Spanish language while here.  If you already know basic Spanish, that will be a real benefit.

  5. You must be a team player.  It is imperative to work together, serve with each other in a spirit of joy, and to serve and help each other.

  6. You must supply a written reference from at least two individuals who are not related to you, describing your spiritual relationship and commitment to God.

a)     One must be from your Pastor who knows you and knows of your involvement in and outside the church.

b)     The second can come from an adult leader, boss, teacher, or some other adult source that can speak in detail about you.
